How do you put it all into a few words ? Well here it goes :
Charlie and I decided to take a golf trip to South Carolina in the Fall of 2008 and play some of the best courses the area had to offer.
Starting out in Charleston, Charlie me gave a quick tour of the city as we went out to enjoy the evening and talk about the “ Southern Swing “ golf tour that we were about to embark on.
We started out the first day playing the Ocean Course at Kiawah, which was quite memorable and more than I ever imagined it would be.
The following days were nothing short of magical as well, we headed out the next day and caught a ferry out to play Haig’s Point, then Harbor Town, followed by Belfair GC and Seccession and finally ended up at the May River Golf Club.
It was there at the May River Golf Club walking up the 18th hole, I began thinking about starting a new apparel company, one that was inspired by Charleston, SC. and the overall feel of South Carolina.
With my extensive background designing Men’s Sportswear with Nordstrom and Callaway Golf paired with Charlie’s background in sales we both decided to map our futures over the following months.
Growing up in the world of retail and also being a designer by trade, I had already began conceptualizing what we needed was to develop something unique that did not exist in market.
We wanted to create a product that was not over designed, incorporating the concept of " Less Is More ".
One that was presented in rich seasonless colors using a new modern " Non Iron " fabric we call “ Intelux™ “ - Intelligent Luxury.
True innovation and easy care performance is the benchmark that has given us a unique and meaningful point of difference.
Since our inception at the 2010 PGA Show our products are currently distributed exclusively in over 130 of the top private country clubs and resorts in the US, and the count is growing daily.
